Packing for Disneyland can be overwhelming—especially when you’re the one responsible for keeping everyone prepared! After multiple Disneyland trips with my own kids, I’ve perfected the ultimate Disneyland packing list for moms to help you stay organized and have a stress-free trip. Whether it’s keeping snacks handy, staying cool in the heat, dry in the rain, or being prepared to get through security quickly, I’ve got you covered!
📌 Take a look at this list and then grab my 7-page Disneyland Packing List to make packing even easier!
Here’s my personally-tested must-have Disneyland packing list for moms, with links to my favorite items:
Park Bag Essentials for Disneyland Moms
✔️ Lightweight backpack or crossbody bag – ideally one that fits their autograph book and a bottle of water, for those times you leave the stroller behind and run into Pocahontas unexpectedly
✔️ Power bank/portable charger to keep your phone charged – you’ll be on it a ton, especially if you have Lightning Lane Multi Pass. I love this one from Anker – it attaches to your phone magnetically, so you don’t have to deal with cords. But you can also use a FuelRod – they have charging kiosks throughout the parks.
✔️ First-aid kit with band-aids, pain reliever and motion sickness bands
✔️ Kids’ ear plugs – you never know when a ride will be too loud for your kiddo and these could be a lifesaver!
✔️ Reusable straws – because there’s nothing worse than Disneyland’s paper straws
Weather Helpers in the Park
✔️ Neck fan – this can be a game-changer in summer!
✔️ Cooling towels
✔️ Stroller Fan – this was key for stroller naps when our daughter was a baby
✔️ Sunscreen sticks for easy application, plus they fit easily into small bags
✔️ Sunglasses – these Ray-Bans are my all-time favorites
✔️ Family Ponchos – I love this set because there are kid and adult sizes included. They’re also easily packable and fit well in your park bag (you’ll need them for wet days and wet rides – especially Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!)
✔️ Stroller Rain Cover – did I tell you about that time we got soaked in October?
Kid Essentials at Disneyland
✔️ Snack containers – bring plastic or metal, no glass – I like these because they can fit a sandwich and it won’t get squished!
✔️ Sippy cup leash – these are perfect for strapping cups, special stuffies, bubble wands, etc. to the stroller so they don’t get lost.
✔️ Small, soft cooler – you’ll want this for kid snacks and lunch items, just remember, you can’t take in loose ice, so put it in a plastic bag or take an ice pack. This one fits great in the bottom of a stroller, or get a locker near the entrance.
✔️ Autograph book/photo mat & click Sharpies – these Sharpies are easier for the characters and come in fun colors
✔️ Clear packing cubes – use the for packing your suitcase, but also for keeping your stroller organized! I love how these ones zip all the way open for easy access and security loves that they’re clear, speeding up your time in line.
Hotel Helpers for Families
✔️ Night Light – the rooms can be dark, and sometimes there aren’t quite enough outlets, so this night light with an outlet is perfect!
✔️ Sound Machine – sometimes there’s extra “excitement” as people run up and down the hotel hallways and this is a great way to make sure your sleep isn’t interrupted.
✔️ Power Strip – to plug in your phones, Magic Band+, fans, tablets, etc. so you’re ready for rope drop!
✔️ Swim Diapers for the babies – the pool is such a great way to relax during an afternoon park break
